Oak City Oak City Lacrosse Academy was created by former lacrosse players who want to provide our community with a youth sports experience that combines great coaching with developmentally appropriate instruction. All coaches are in the US Lacrosse coach certification pipeline. Most of our head coaches have achieved a Level 2 US Lacrosse certification. Coaches are normally certified at Level 1 or higher. We provide athletes and parents with a family-friendly environment and high-impact coaching of young players. We excel at providing a great youth sports experience through lacrosse.

Athletes -
For our athletes, we provide a fun, exciting, competitive environment where they are learning, challenged and having a great time. More than 50 percent of youth athletes stop playing sports by age 13 because it stops being fun. We want to make Oak City Lacrosse a fun and enjoyable experience, on all practice days and game days.

Families -
We want our families to feel welcome and included. We want our families to support their athletes and allow them to make mistakes and celebrate their growth, progress and success. We want our families to cheer for our players and let our coaches instruct athletes. We ask that you respect our players, coaches, officials and opponents in every situation and help celebrate your athlete's successes on the field during and after games.

Communities - We want our community to be stronger as a result of our efforts. We can all make a difference in our schools, our neighborhoods or our communities and Oak City will find ways to make a difference. With your help, we'll find ways to make a difference.

Coaches - We believe in encouraging all of our coaches to seek formal and informal coach development so they can bring the best techniques, training and drills to better develop individual athletes and team play. Oak City strongly supports our coaching staff in their efforts to learn more about the game, improve their ability to instruct and train young players and bring the best and latest technical and tactical instruction to our program. We believe that trained and certified coaches are better able to coach all athletes and make trainings more fun.
