Oak City's Grade 3-4 group is for players who will be in 3rd or 4th grade during the Fall of 2023. The group will train with a focus on individual skills and learning the concepts of team offense, defense and transition.

This cohort is for players who will be in Grades 5-6 in the Fall of 2022. This group will focus on individual lacrosse skills and the tactical understanding of offense, defense and transition. Experienced and new players are both welcome for Fall 2022.

This division is for players in 7th, 8th and 9th grade in Fall of 2022. We welcome new and experienced players during Fall 2022. The Fall sessions will focus on individual skills, tactical training in offense, defense and transition and functional power/speed for athletes.

Oak City Lacrosse Grade 1-2 cohort is for players that will be starting First Grade in Fall 2021. Most kindergarten age players do not yet have the hand-eye development to catch a lacrosse ball consistently. If you think your kindergarten age athlete is exceptional (and there are some), we are willing to do a skills assessment with that athlete prior to first training to determine if your athlete is ready for our program.

We will consider kindergarten players only after a private skills evaluation. The fee for a private skill evaluation is $20. Contact [email protected] to schedule a kindergarten player skills evaluation session.

Hot Wednesday Nights, or Wacky Wednesdays if you prefer will provide athletes in rising grades 3-9 with previous Oak City or other lacrosse experience a chance to play small-sided games like Chumash/SpeedLacrosse and increase their lacrosse skills, creativity and fun. Skills coaching will be limited and we are not accepting beginners for this program. This is a program for players who already have had at least one season of lacrosse experience with Oak City or another organization. This program will have MINIMAL skill instruction and will be mostly devoted to small-sided game PLAY.

This has been a huge success for us, getting players out to play each Wednesday evening during the summer has helped players continue to improve their tactical understanding of lacrosse in a fun, low pressure environment.
