Oak City's Fall Season is primarily a SKILLS DEVELOPMENT season. We are offering Saturday morning trainings for all players and Wednesday evening trainings so that players who are playing a Fall sport can participate in our Fall season on ONE of those evenings or mornings and still and play soccer, football, basketball or another sport. Unlike the Spring season, where we play games on weekends and have defined teams and weeknight practices with a focus on playing games, Oak City's Fall season is the time to learn how to play lacrosse or get better at the technical and tactical aspects of the game. We put a large emphasis on developing the stick (technical) skills necessary to improve and become a better player as well as the tactical elements of defense, offense and transition play.  Trainings will end with a small sided or larger group scrimmage for each age group, and we are planning to have a few scrimmages against regional opponents. Our focus in the Fall is skill development and having lots of fun!

New players and experienced players will be grouped into cohorts by age, size and skill and training focuses on the skills that those groups of lacrosse players need to improve on the most. Oak City is in the midst of scheduling a couple of scrimmages for the Fall against peer programs across the Triangle, but the Fall season emphasis is on skill development, small-sided competitions and scrimmage-style games that will encourage players to develop, explore and master the technical and tactical skills necessary to be a better lacrosse player.  Our Fall season is more like a twice-weekly lacrosse camp than practices and a game schedule.

Registration for the Fall will go live on the REGISTRATION page on May 1, 2021.
